The Surprise Guest
The Surprise Guest was a collaboration with InPlayers and performed in November / December 2023 to sold out audiences at the Polanentheater. The show was then brought back for a revival in March and April 2024 and toured to Rotterdam to perform in the 'T Kapelletje.
The show, by Eric Assous, is a riveting narrative where three brothers and their wives gather for a family dinner, only for it to turn awry when an unexpected guest is announced. Confusion turns to suspicion, jealousy, and secrets.
The show was directed by John Calado and Brian Ligthart.
